LENA Privacy Policy

LENA ("LENA", "we", "us", or "our") provides a mobile application used by property appraisers and inspectors to capture, organize, and report on-site inspection data ("the App"). This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

The App collects the following categories of information. All of it is tied to your account or the inspection records you create — none of it is used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Mileage records	Date and time of a drive, its starting and ending addresses, and the distance between them
Precise location	Your device's location at the moment you tap Directions, used only to record where that drive started. Optional — see below.

Mileage tracking and location

LENA can keep a mileage log of the driving you do for appraisals, so the distances are available at tax time. This section explains exactly what that records, because location is the most sensitive thing the App touches.

• What creates a record. When you tap Directions for an appraisal, LENA records that a drive began: the time, the destination property's address, and the address you were coming from — which is the previous property you got directions to that day, or the home/office address in your Settings for the first drive of the day. You can also enter or correct any trip by hand.
• Location is optional. If you allow location access, LENA reads your device's position at the moment you tap Directions, so the starting point is where you actually were rather than an assumption. If you decline, mileage still works — only the first drive of a day is less precise. You can change this at any time in your device's Settings app.
• Only while you are using the App. LENA requests "when in use" location only. It does not track your location in the background, and it does not record your route, your speed, or where you are at any other moment.
• Your mileage is private to you. Mileage records are personal tax data. They are visible only to the account that created them. Workspace owners, administrators, and teammates cannot see your mileage records or your location, even for appraisals shared with them, and there is no setting that changes this.
• You confirm what counts. A drive recorded from a Directions tap stays unconfirmed until you review it. Nothing is treated as a mileage figure until you say you actually drove it, and you can discard any record you did not.

How we use this information

• To operate core app functionality: creating and syncing jobs, photos, voice notes, forms, and reports across your devices.
• To authenticate your account and keep your session secure.
• To let members of your team access shared job records where you've enabled that access.
• To generate the PDF inspection reports the App produces on your behalf.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps or websites.

Where your data is stored

Inspection data is cached locally on your device and synced to our backend, hosted on Supabase, which provides our database, authentication, and file storage. Supabase acts as our service provider and processes data only on our behalf. Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Your sign-in session is stored on-device using the operating system's secure credential storage, optionally protected by Face ID/Touch ID.

Data retention and account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time from Settings > Delete Account in the App. Once submitted, your account and eligible personal data will be deleted within 30 days, and you'll receive an email confirmation once it's done. Appraisal records owned by your company/team may be retained where required by law or by the organization's own record-keeping obligations, even after your personal account is deleted.

Your choices

• Camera, microphone, photo library, speech-recognition, and location access are all optional and requested only when you use the related feature; you can change permissions any time in your device's Settings app.
• Declining location access does not disable mileage tracking; it only makes the first drive of each day less precise.
• You can review, confirm, or discard each recorded drive, and delete any mileage record, in the App's Mileage screen.
• You can review, edit, or delete inspection content you've created directly in the App.
• You can request account and data deletion as described above.

Children's privacy

LENA is a professional tool for appraisers and inspectors and is not directed at, or knowingly used to collect information from, children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
